This talk is about starting a medical device company. Essentials for product development, business model selection, marketing and fund raising towards a medical device start-up company will be presented with various examples.
Mehran Talebinejad received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa in 2009. Then he was a post doctoral fellow at the McGill University for two years. He is currently a research associate with the Neural Prosthetics Lab (McGill University) and the Biomedical Sensors and Signal Lab (Carleton University). His research interests include biosignal analysis, transcranial magnetic stimulation and electromyography instrumentation and product development.
